The Three Billy Goats Gruff - Read by Miss Jackson
Whilst your adult reads our text the 'Three
Billy Goats Gruff' try to remember the actions that you created in yesterday’s
lesson.
Now, try to create actions for the second half of our story.
Remember to repeat your actions to make it easier to learn the story without reading
the text. For example, you might put your hands on your hips every time the
troll says, “who’s that trip-trapping over my bridge?”.
Keep going back to the start of the story to help you to remember your actions.
Repetition of the story will help your child to internalise the story just like
we do in class. You could even video yourself to help you to remember your
actions.
Writing task: Can you think of other ways that the troll might have said
this:
“Who’s that trip-trapping over my bridge?” growled the troll from under the bridge.
Write down at least
three other words to replace the verb growled in this part
of the story. Maybe he could have whispered or screamed. You could even
challenge yourself to write the whole sentence with your new adjective each
time.
Please write on lined paper with a pencil and take
your time to make sure you do your best.
Wider Curriculum
Computing
Undo and redo: When you have made a mistake you can use the undo button to undo what you last did. In many applications you can undo more than once. You can also use the redo button if you clicked the undo button too many times.
Have a try at typing (with two hands) on your keyboard and using the undo and redo buttons to fix your work.
I (italics) - can be used to emphasise words.
Stay Active
Exercise for 20-30 minutes. Go for a walk, run around, dance or play football. Anything that makes your heart beat really fast!
Extra challenge:
Create a character by using some of the everyday materials that you have been learning about in science.
Take care and stay safe,
Miss Jackson
