Weekly Maths Tasks (plus Numberblocks)
Week 5 -Reception - This weeks activities are based on Superworm Summer term week 5.

This looks at number bonds and fact families.

Don’t forget Read, write inc are running their new Story time with Nick, with new stories every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Spelling activities:
Please learn to spell and write the following words. You could do this by:
- writing on paper (look, cover, write, check)
- outside using chalk - jump on each letter as you sound out and blend the word
- in the bath with foam letters
- in shaving foam or sand
- by writing the letters on pebbles and ordering them correctly
- words written on card and cut up into pieces to make a word jigsaws.

Weekly Wider Curriculum Tasks
History - This week I would like you to use all the information you have gathered about your family to create your own family tree. This can be done in any format you choose, you could include photographs, illustrations or writing. it could be hand written or done on the computer. Be as creative as you can. Here are some idea's I've seen on-line.
Science - As we have moved further into Lockdown wildlife have been returning closer to the places we live. This week I would like to focus on Garden birds.
My boys used to be members of the RSPB when they were younger and used to take part in the annual bird count. Our family love sitting in the garden listening to birds. I found this fantastic website that teaches you each bird song.

How about making a simple Bird feeder for your garden.
Art For art this week I would like you to do create a portrait in the style of Pablo Picasso.

Forest school This week we would like you to choose one or two Forest school activities from this website. Mrs Gay says that clay can be substituted for mud and water, and to please make sure you have parental supervision if using any tools.

Aire Class Ongoing Task
While we are in Lock down it would be a lovely idea to create a Time capsule containing memories of our special time spent with our families. This would be an ongoing project for the whole family.
Be as creative as you can be!
