Home learning with Thomas

Thomas has done a wide variety of activities this week, and has even been looking at the Year one maths with his mum.  I love how his younger brother looks up to Thomas and likes to join in with his home learning.

Thomas followed the instructions to build this Lego monster truck, but was not impressed when his little brother tried to wreck it!

Thomas went on his leaf hunt with his Dad and brother.  When he got home he told his Mum all about the leaves he had found, and what they were called.

           I love this activity from Thomas this week.

           First of all he wrote a list of 10 objects and then tested

           them to see if they would float or sink.  

           Can you see his ticks and crosses?

Next he built a Lego ship and made it a glittery sail.

When Thomas put his boat in the water at first it capsized!

Thomas then had to use his brain to solve the problem.
He carefully removed pieces and put them into different places. The boat began to balance and finally it floated.

Some superb thinking skills from Thomas.
