Wider Curriculum

RE
Today’s place of worship is a mandir. This is a Hindu place of worship.

In a mandir you will find lots of different types of artwork. Watch this video showing you around a mandir.

Have a look at these yantras, and then have a go at creating your own! Remember to use lots of different colours and shapes, you could use pens, pencils, paints, or even use a laptop/ tablet to create your yantra.

PE

Remember to begin our yoga we say 'namaste'.

Be calm. Listen to this relaxing music while you do your yoga positions.

Try to hold these positions for at least 10 seconds. Repeat the positions and hold them for longer each time.

Now see if you can come up with some of your own.

Stay Active

Exercise for 20-30 minutes. Go for a walk, run around, dance or play football. Anything that makes your heart beat really fast!

Take care and stay safe,
