Phonics

We have noticed since returning to school that although many of the children we are working with have moved on learning their sounds they haven't been looking at applying these sounds to reading words.

Over the next two weeks and throughout the Summer break I would like you to use the Speedy green word slide shows on Oxford Owl to practice these so that your child can read them instantly. Please start with set one, only moving onto set 2 and 3 once they are speedy!
English - this week we are continuing Talk4Writing booklet Mouse's Adventure.

We hope you have enjoyed taking your toys on an adventure. We certainly have had great fun photographing and writing about their adventures in school.

Please remember this is a 2 week unit

Aire Class Ongoing Task

We are all very lucky to live in such a nice community.  For our new ongoing project I would like you
to think about the village that you live in. What are the landmarks in your village?  Can you draw a plan.

We have lots of interesting churches, shops, schools, Drax power station, and houses including Carlton towers. Choose a landmark that interests or is special to you. What do you know about it?
Why is it special to you? When was it built? Can you draw it? Could you make a model of it using boxes or Lego?

Please feel free to share your wonderful learning with me.
You can either email pictures to me at:
